Since then, we have been using the third generation of CEREC.
We create small- to medium-sized dental fillings using the highest-quality materials and in accordance with the most rigorous dental principles to ensure maximum durability.
However, we do not make large fillings due to volume changes in the filling material; specifically, their durability cannot be guaranteed above a certain size. In such cases, we recommend a CEREC ceramic inlay, onlay, or overlay.

The decision is simple: If the cavity is large, we use a CEREC inlay, which will last for decades. If the missing portion is small, a dental filling is the best solution—we use high-quality materials and follow the strictest dental standards to ensure maximum durability.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does getting a CEREC inlay hurt?
Not at all—it's done under local anesthesia. It's just as painless as getting a traditional filling.
How long does recovery take?
There is no recovery time—once the numbness wears off, you can use it without any restrictions after 1.5–2 hours.
Can I use insurance or a health savings account for this?
Yes, you can pay with a health insurance card. Private health insurance policies may reimburse you for part or all of the cost (depending on the policy).
Why is a CEREC inlay more durable than a filling?
The filling material shrinks when placed, creating a gap between the tooth and the filling. This can provide a surface for new decay to form. A ceramic inlay does not shrink and fits perfectly against the remaining parts of the tooth.
What happens if a problem does arise years from now?
We offer a 10-year comprehensive warranty. If any problems arise (breakage, loss, or decay underneath), we will repair them free of charge.
